Join the Austin Classical Guitar Society on Saturday, June 23rd at 7 pm for an enchanted evening under the stars in the historical setting of the Commodore Perry Estate.
In 1928, Edgar and Lutie Perry moved into their elegant new home and immediately set a higher standard of gracious entertaining in Austin. Enclosed within a walled compound of nearly ten acres, the Estate enjoys a degree of privacy, seclusion, and grandeur seldom found in such a central location in Austin.
European-based ultra-inventive duo Les Frères Méduses will treat attendees to an intimate recital à la Austin Guitar Salon style at the fabulous Commodore Perry Estate. Docents from the Heritage Society of Austin will give special guided tours of the estate during the Antonelli’s Cheese Shop and Twin Liquors reception before the concert held in the Estate’s chapel. Valet Parking Provided. Tickets are $55 for the public and $45 for ACGS/HSA members. Click here to buy tickets.
Les Frères Méduses perform historical and contemporary music that is up-tempo and energetic. In order to expand the typical duo guitar repertoire, original compositions and free improvisation are also included in every program.
The Austin Guitar Salon Event is generously sponsored by Camille Cook & Laura “Siri” Hutcheson, The Kinney Company and The Commodore Perry Estate.
