Russ & Company, one of the largest locally owned salons dedicated to keeping Austin beautifully styled for generations, is now under new management. Lecia Harkins Eakins, a beauty professional with 25 years of experience in film, television and print and a 21-year stylist at Russ & Company, and her husband, Roy Eakins, a licensed massage therapist, now own and manage the salon. Come see the beautiful changes and have a drink and a snack, not to mention enter the giveaway drawings for makeovers, massage, and maincures.
Conveniently located downtown near the University of Texas in a converted three-story house with a full parking lot, Russ & Company is a locally owned Austin institution, providing beauty services to Austin’s professionals, residents and students for 30+ years. Lecia Harkins Eakins has been in the hair and makeup industry since 1987, specializing in hair styling and coloring, and airbrush makeup. Trained in Los Angeles and Hollywood, Lecia has worked to keep Austin beautifully styled for the past 20 years at Russ & Company, in addition to working in films, television and print. A 2009 Austin Fashion Week winner for Best Makeup Artist – People’s Choice and a three-time 2010 Austin Fashion Week nominee for Critic’s Choice Best Makeup, People’s Choice Mash Up Team for Makeup and Critic’s Choice Mash Up Team for Makeup, and twice nominated for 2011 Austin fashion Week for People’s Choice and Industry Choice for Makeup, she is active in the Austin fashion and beauty industry in addition to her work at the salon.
