This year will be my second year to experience the greatness that is the Austin Film Festival. Last year, I attended with @SweetLeafDanny and we were lucky enough to catch several amazing and creative films. One of my favorite films was Precious, which of course left me in tears crying like a baby at the Paramount Theatre. I also enjoyed Up in the Air quite a bit (but let’s be honest, with George Clooney staring in this flick, what’s not to like!).
For the 2010 Austin Film Festival, some of my must-sees are The Spirit Molecule, Echotone, and of course Black Swan. The trailer of Black Swan literally gave me chills. Natalie Portman looks quite captivating in this film directed by the great Darren Aronofsky, so you’ll definitely want to get in line early for this one.
Films aren’t the only component in the Austin Film Festival — there are informative panels, killer parties, and shorts programs. It’s not too late to purchase your badge or individual ticket to a show, but I suggest doing so now so you don’t miss out!
